Aspataki: Proud, Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah Becomes Chair of the ASEAN Minister of Manpower
Menaker Ida Fauziyah is officially the Chair of the ASEAN Labor Ministers Meeting (ALMM) or Chair of the ASEAN Manpower Ministers for the period of 2020 to 2022.
The election of the Indonesian Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah by the ASEAN Ministers of Manpower is very proud of Indonesia, this is a testament to the confidence of ASEAN countries in Indonesia in leading policies and decisions on labor issues in ASEAN in difficult times like now.
Mrs. Ida Fauziyah immediately chaired the ASEAN Minister of Manpower level meeting after the handover of her position from Tuan Haji Awang (Malaysia) as Chair of the 2018-2020 Period, through a hybrid virtual meeting in Jakarta, Wednesday (28 October 2020).

Ida Fauziyah explained, ALMM is a meeting at the ASEAN Ministerial level in the field of manpower which is held every two years and is attended by ten ASEAN countries.
In addition, an ALMM + 3 meeting was held which was attended by 10 Menaker from ASEAN countries and three ASEAN partner countries, namely Japan, the Republic of Korea and the People's Republic of China.
"ALMM is a discussion forum, sharing information / best practices on the impact of digital transformation on the job market and the types of vocational education needed. This includes discussing work relations, social dialogue and social security for participants in the digital economy era, "he said.
Mrs. Ida Fauziyah said, Indonesia as the Chair of ASEAN in the field of manpower for the period 2020-2022 with the theme "Promoting ASEAN Workers for Competitiveness, Resilience, and Agility in Facing Future Work.
